American beech across Ohio, Pennsylvania, New York, Connecticut, and Ontario, Canada have been declining in the presence of beech leaf disease (BLD).  In this talk, we discuss how we’ve used Tree Health Survey (a citizen science app) to track BLD symptoms and how Cleveland Metroparks has monitored individual and population-level decline over four years.
